IOTA Guardian, a device looking after stationary objects and protecting them from theft, has been employed to monitor outdoor power transformers at one of the largest electricity distributors in Central Europe. After successful trial that confirmed superior functionality of the device, a large scale deployment is being planned. Another type of IOTA's devices, the door sensors, are already used by the same client to monitor indoor power transformers located within substations.

IOTA's temperature sensor is gaining traction with various use cases discussed and trialled. One of the hotel chains is using the sensors to ensure independently that desired temperatures are maintained at various points (reception, restaurant, floor halls) of their hotels and to monitor stability of these temperatures for assessment of effectiveness of their HVAC systems. Another client, a central heating company, is tracking temperatures at apartments whose residents are complaining about the temperature levels - this allows the client to understand relationship between their actions and the ultimate temperature patterns and adjust amount of heat delivered in various times of the day to increase clients' satisfaction.

IOTA door sensor has just been certified at Class 0 by Sigfox.
IOTA door sensor, equipped with Sigfox wireless transmission module, allows detection of opened/closed status on physical doors. It is deployed principally to monitor doors/flaps in objects/buildings that are remotely situated, to ensure properly closure. When doors are opened or closed, the device instantly sends a message such that the event is visualised in an application. The solution detects unauthorised persons/thieves but can also verify authorised activities such as spot checks at remote/dispersed location performed by personnel or field forces, to ensure doors are securely closed after a visit.
